We, Colony 6, are going to offer a group buy on these amazing perpetual light sources.  I need to nail down the discount on them and then we’re ready to buy, buy, buy!  But, in the meantime, get familiar with them below:

UVPaqlite- The Amazing Light- No Batteries, No Bulbs, Use it FOREVER!!!

Picture

What are UVPaqlites?
The UVPaqlites are designed to give the user a form of light that has utility beyond typical glow-in-the-dark novelty products. The Paqlites are reusable, portable, waterproof, and require no maintenance. When exposed to any other type of light: sunlight, LED lights, Flashlights, blacklights, etc. the Paqlites will glow all night long and even for days. They provide enough light to function in dark environments without using batteries, fuel, or energy.

What makes UVPaqlites glow?
The Patent Pending technology provides a new way to capture the glowing photons, which are produced via crystal manufacturing from the earth’s resources of strontium, aluminum and other rare earth elements.  When exposed to other light sources the crystals quickly absorb the light, store it, and then produce enough light to continue glowing for hours or days. Paqlite glow lights are environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

How long will the UVPaqlites last?
The UVPaqlites will last forever! The UVpaqlites, unlike traditional lights, do not require batteries, bulbs, or chemical activation (shaking or breaking) therefore you can reuse them over-and-over again. These glow-in-the-dark lights do not have a shelf-life so you can store them anywhere in case of an emergency.

Where can I use the UVPaqlite?
Use these glow-in-the-dark lights as a night light, as a back up light in other dark spaces (basements, sheds, garages, etc), or hang them in a tent, RV, cabin, or gulf stream private jet. Our glow lights are so versatile customers are coming up with new uses everyday!

Tooblite – Reusable Glow Sticks

Picture

What is a Tooblite?

The Tooblite is a  reusable glow stick.

What makes the Tooblite  reusable?

The Tooblite absorbs lights (similar to glow-in-the-dark), so it  can be recharged from any light source including: sunlight, LEDs, black lights,  ambient light, household bulbs, etc. If it is bright enough for you to see the  Tooblite is absorbing light. So even on a cloudy overcast day it is absorbing the UV rays.

What is inside the  Tooblite?

The Tooblite is filled with glow-in-the-dark  crystals, made from strontium aluminate. These crystals are suspended in a solid  epoxy so it is durable.

How many times can it  be recharged?

The Tooblite can be recharged over and over again forever. It never loses its ability to recharge and it will never expire. That’s what makes it great for emergency kits, bug out bags, or 72 kits. You don’t  have to worry about expiration dates.

How long will the  Tooblite glow?

The Tooblite will glow ALL night long (+8hrs). The Tooblite uses supercharged glow-in-the-dark so the light diminshes over a 4 day period. For example:  If you left a Tooblite in a dark cave for 4 days, you would still be able to see it glowing with your eyes fully adjusted to the dark. It would be very dim but you could identify it.

What makes the Tooblite different from tradtional glow sticks?

Traditional  glow sticks are one time use products that require users to activate the light by shaking or breaking the tube. Traditional glow sticks utilize a chemical reaction whereas our Tooblite uses photoluminescence (glow-in-the-dark).  We use enhanced glow-in-the-dark technology that is why our product is bright enough to be a light source all night long. Some traditional glow sticks may intialally be brighter than the Tooblite, but the Tooblite will out last those products because it can be reused/recharged over-and-over again FOREVER.

GIDS (Glow In the Dark Spots)

GIDS are the newest creation from the UVPaqlite family, these Glow In the Dark Spots make finding items in the dark easy. Using the best glow in the dark technology, GIDS are fun to stick anywhere. They are 1.25″ in diameter making them small enough to stick on remote controls, light switches, down dark hallways, but bright enough to enhance night time visibility on bike helmets, backpacks, & clothing.

Freeze Dried Food Alert

March 5, 2011 3:21 pm | No Comments

There is a good website to look at for freeze dried meats, vegetables and fruit for good prices.  It is www.honeyvillegrain.com.   The more you buy the less the price.   Shipping is only 4.49 for the order.

Also, Emergency Essentials has a good sale on freeze dried salmon for 24.99.

Freeze Dried Food Finds and More

December 14, 2010 2:46 pm | No Comments

For those looking to get more food storage small or large, I have found a few good sources.  Costco is a great source for small and large quantities.  They also have groups of  freeze dried vegetablesfruits, wheats or cheeses in the smaller quanities, etc. at great prices with shipping included.  They start as low as $39.99.

Also, I have found Emergency Essentials to have good group discounts on different freeze dried products every month.  For December you can get a #10 can of freeze dried raspberries for $20.00 with a minimum of 6 or freeze dried beef teriyaki with rice #10 can for $22.00 with a minimum of 6.  Then you can get free shipping on the rest of you order with the purchase of the group specials.  I have found a great freeze dried cheese group #2 that has 6- #10 cans of cheddar, colby, and monterey for 179.99.  That is less then even costco at $199.99.  You can order a catalog and get on their email list for the group specials ever month.

Another source I found that is wonderful for so many items, even the ones I hadn’t thought about, is a place called Walton Feed in Idaho.  It may be a little drive but it would be well worth it if you have a large order.  They do ship also and you just go into the link at the top of their website that says SHOP to find the products you want.  They have sprouts ,  dried products, seeds, etc. at a great price.

Then you could stop by Gossner in Logan, Utah for their ready to drink milk (stored normal like the rest of your food storage on the shelf) and we have had ours for years.   It is nice to just open the milk and drink instead of the dry milk.  It tastes good and our kids love the small flavored containers you can buy.  I think our favorite is cookies and cream.  We miss not having these places close anymore now that we live back east.

Happy planning,

Michelle

Fema Trailer Group Buy

July 23, 2010 11:13 am | No Comments

We all know that our nation is in serious trouble and can see the writing on the wall.  Although we don’t know exactly when things will break down, like what’s happening in Europe, we can tell our turn is next.  Have you thought about where you would live if you needed to get out of Dodge in a hurry?  What about if your home is damaged in an earthquake or some other calamity?  Do you have a backup plan for your family?

A group buy has been put together for the used FEMA trailers that have recently become available.   They would make a very nice place to live, compared to being in a tent.  The unbelievable thing is that we can get these trailers for $2300 if we buy individually.  Or if we can get 100 families that are serious about purchasing then the price drops to $1600!  You can drive to the lot in Picayune, Mississippi to get your trailer or pay extra to have it delivered.  Click on the photos link at the top of this page to see what the trailers look like inside.

Email me privately if you seriously want to join this group buy.  Please don’t delay your decision.  These trailers are no longer owned by FEMA, but we want to be first in line before others seize this amazing opportunity.  We also want to get our 100 trailers before the government evacuates the costal areas due to the toxic fumes from the oil spill.

Here are some additional details that may help answer your questions:

  1. Some have slide out options others are handicapped equipped trailers and dealer models with holding tanks.
  2. Grade A through Grade D . Grade A is very nice & ready to go,  Grade B is in need of minor repair & cleaning, & Grade C being in need of more repair but still very good for the price.  The main problem with these will be water damage from a leak and probably some soft spots in the floor or ceiling or walls.
  3. These still have the A/C & fridge & stove & microwave.
  4. It has a queen bed in the front, 2 bunk beds in the back.
  5. It also has a sofa and a dinette booth.
  6. The tires are usually good  and can be towed by any 1/2 ton V8  truck. You will need a 2 5/16″ ball & a 7 way plug for the trailer lights & brakes.  These trailers are located in Picayune, Mississippi.
  7. Mississippi residents will need to add 7% sales tax.  All other states will handle their own sales tax & registration.
  8. Delivery is available at $1.30 per mile figured one way from Picayune, Mississippi.  The zip code there is 39466.

A garden is a must for the serious preparedness minded person. Lets face it, a year supply of food storage will not be enough to cover all of the bodies nutritional needs. For healthy living the human body requires and craves the vitamins and nutritiants found in living foods like fruits and vegetables.

Further food storage is not the answer to a worst case scenario of famine. It is a bridge, or a stop gap that allows the prepared time they need to implement long term food harvesting plans, like planting a garden. In such a likely situation heaven forbid that the seeds stored up by the prepared person be of a hybrid variety. Why? Hybrid seeds do not reproduce. They are genetically engineered to be sterile. In a famine situation, where the gardener does not have the option of buying more seed year to year from the store, they must rely on their heirloom seeds to produce what they require to replant their garden indefinitely.

Heirloom seeds were once the standard, but as science has manipulated nature to produce bigger, sweeter, or seedless crops they are on their way to becoming extinct. Hybrid seeds have replaced heirloom seeds so extensively that they are rarely labeled as ‘hybrid’ in seed catalogs or on the seed packets sold in stores. This is terrible news for you and me, but for major seed producers of the world, a great business move. They ensure repeat customers returning to them year by year to buy more seed. What better way to control a population than by its food supply?

If you plan to buy seeds via catalog or by shopping at the local garden center you must specifically search for ‘heirloom’ seeds. Be prepared to pay twice as much for them vs. the hybrid varieties.

Shelf Life

Adequately dried seeds sealed in moisture barrier containers can be stored safely for 4 years at 65 – 70 degree temperature and much longer at lower temperatures. Each 6 degree drop in storage temperature may double the storage life of most seeds. Critical factors are temperature and moisture content. Store as cool as possible. Can should remain unsealed until ready for use. For best results store unopened can in a refrigerator or freezer. Keep out of sunlight.
